HONEY – LE RUCHER DE L’INSTIT

The honey from the Rucher de l’Instit will soon be certified organic.
At the beginning of the season, the bee colonies are placed in the dandelion fields, then under the fruit trees in La Vôge-les-Bains.
The hives are later moved to an acacia forest, then under lime trees in the western Vosges on the land of an organic farmer.
At the beginning of June, the hives are put in Alsatian forests, where the bees produce a very specific chestnut honey.
In July and August, the hives are moved under the fir trees of the High Vosges.
To end the season, the bees gather pollen from balsam and meadowsweet flowers in the Vosges plain, near Vôge-les-Bains.
The Rucher de l’Instit offers a wide range of honey, available in your tourist offices and also on Locappy Vosges.
The Rucher de l’Instit, associated with the Rucher du Val de Vôge, offers guided tours and tastings: from the flower to the pot, the “Chemin du miel” tour is in partnership with your Tourist Office.
