European Days of Mills and Millstone Heritage

The French Federation of Mills, under the patronage of the Ministries of Culture and the Environment, organizes the European Days of Mills and Milling Heritage.

The aim of these days is to offer the general public the opportunity to learn more about the mill, an industrial heritage site, through archaeology, history, the environment, its techniques, its different energies, its various uses past and present, its components, the landscapes it has shaped for hundreds of years, its people and finally its various conversions.

As part of this national event, the Xamontarupt Mill offers a guided tour of the site including the discovery of the mill, the clog factory, and the high iron.
