At the foot of the Vosges mountains, authentic nature awaits you for a pleasant stay with family or friends.
The starting point is on Place Stanislas in the centre of Bruyères. Park on the square.
Turn right under the hornbeam and go along the bandstand. Continue straight on then left (towards the "Caves de l'Avison". There you can discover the Bonne Bière de Bruyères.) Continue straight on to reach the foot of the Avison which stands in front of you. Take the road on the left and leave Bruyères. Continue straight on the forest road. After the clearing, take the path then the trail on the left towards "Pointhaie". At the bottom of the path, turn right and go along the fishing pond and, still straight on, the leisure pond to reach the road. Turn right and just after the house, take the path again to the right which goes up towards "Pointhaie" (look up to find the sign). Continue going up always straight towards the rocks, then take the winding path in front of you. After a few bends, you go along a first rock. Continue the climb for another 50 m. You are at the foot of the "Roches de Pointhaie" (climbing site located at an altitude of 517 m). Follow the rocks and continue along the path on the ridge line. Start the descent straight ahead. Observe the panorama of Bruyères and the surrounding hills in front of you and on your right. Continue to descend. At the crossroads, take the path towards Vervezelle. Observe, under your feet, the red sand resulting from the decomposition of the pink sandstone typical of the Vosges. Continue to descend straight ahead until you reach the road. Turn right and continue straight ahead to reach Bruyères and Place Stanislas.
